The purpose of this policy is to set out the Telltale Tots Ltd commitment and procedures for protecting personal data.

If you order a product, have a query about our services, subscribe to our blog, or book an author visit online, we need to know who you are and how to contact you.

How we collect data from you

We collect data from you when you order a product online, fill in a contact form, book an event or author visit, or subscribe to our blog or newsletter.

You will be asked to provide: your email address, name, phone number, address/school address, details for participating child(ren) (for events) and to confirm whether you would like to opt in/out of photography and whether you would like to receive marketing communications from us.

Analytics

Like many websites we use Google Analytics to collect anonymous data about the users of our sites, such as how often they visit, what pages they visit, what time they visit, how long they stay, and what country they are visiting from.

Who has access to your data?

There are three parties who deal with / have access to this information:

Kirstie Watson – Author and Owner of Telltale Tots Ltd
WIX - Website provider, online payment system, and marketing tool.
Paypal – secure online payment system

We have contracts with each of these third-party companies and review their policies and procedures on a regular basis.

Where and how your data is stored

When you contact us via a form on our website:

All data we collect is done so over encrypted connections (https).
All data is stored on secure Wix servers (see their privacy policy here: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy.

When you book an event or author visit online, your data goes via a secure link to Book That In, where it is securely stored under your own customer account.
​
When you pay for your booking, or buy any books, you are directed towards Paypal or WIX Payments, as our preferred online payment systems.
​
Paypal will store your details securely on their system (you have access to this information via your own Paypal account).
​

If you have subscribed to our blog, your details (name and email address), will be stored securely by Wix.

If you opt into marketing communications at any point, your name and email address will be stored securely on WIX.

We retain your information for the minimum period possible for business/accounting or legal reasons. Once it is no longer required, we will ensure that your information is confidentially destroyed.
